Learn More About TC Arte

TC Arte started operating in 2021 in,New Mexico with the intention of selling art at the Farmer's Market. At first we just wanted to test the waters but as our clientele kept growing, our goals did as well.

Our goal is to paint a story, a message and an inspiration for every individual. We want to transcend all cultures and all backgrounds because we believe that art evolves our feelings into connecting us as human beings.

What Is TC Arte?

What Is Our Story?

The company was conceptualized in the summer of 2021. At the time, Thaly had never sold her art before so she tried something new. By selling art pieces at the farmer’s market in New Mexico, she realized that the sale went great. Finding joy in how her art impacted her customers, she decided to keep showing up every Saturday to keep up with the momentum. James, Thalys’ partner, suggested taking her art to the next level so they made it accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy. This gave fruit to the making of an Instagram account, an Etsy page, and a website.

What Does “TC ARTE” Stand For?

TC ARTE stands for Thaliana Cuevas Art. Thaliana, the artist’s first name; Cuevas, the artist’s last name, and “arte” which means art in Spanish. Thaliana or Thaly, states that watercolor connects her with her homeland. Being born and raised in a tropical island, she would spend most of her time going to the beach. That is why you can see some of these elements in the company logo. The main picture, a sun with open hands, reflects that the horizon always provides us with a new day. Cuevas has always appreciated the sun because it reminds her that God gives us the gift of life. In the same way, she believes in giving her art with an open heart. Additionally, we see waves that are inspired from her homelands’ oceans. Finally, a star that parts both waves represents the biblical event found in Exodus where Moses parts the sea with his staff so that God’s people may cross and flee from the Egyptians. For the artist, this story always inspires her to have faith and believe that God will always work miracles in the toughest of times. As Christians, we believe our company is a gift from God and we cherish it gratefully.

What Is Our Philosophy?

The painter believes that art should provoke feelings. It is that feeling that makes us blessed to be humans and in TC ARTE, every art piece is made with strong emotions. Additionally, every piece has a story. An art piece of a bumblebee in a flower could easily be evidence of seeing that bumblebee during the day. Sometimes, people inspire Thaly to paint and in many cases music has become another muse to the artist and impacts her creativity. We also believe that art should be accessible to everyone. Art has been known to be one of the most valuable assets in the world and in many cases paintings can reach millions of dollars in value. As TC ARTE, we want to make art accessible to all economical backgrounds. That is why we introduced small items such as bookmarks with the intention of making it affordable to everyone. Another belief is that waste can produce art. We care about the environment of our planet so we try to use and reuse past collections that are no longer selling or art pieces that have been damaged. We think that this makes us unique in our demographic among other artists. We hope to inspire the world to do the same. Our most important value involves in making people smile. The artist has talked about how when a customer sees one of her paintings and their eyes go wide, that moment is what drives her to paint. It is in that experience where art no longer becomes a business, but a passion.

What does the future hold for TC ARTE?

The next step for TC ARTE is to have a constant flow of people reaching our art. We have prepared for the era of online platforms. Our goal for the future is to expand our artwork to home goods and to develop a much more iconic branding. We also want to impact generations beyond our own. Therefore, the artist wants to collaborate with companies that offer art and craft classes. We want to teach people how to easily paint watercolor and learn DIY activities. Another goal is to distribute some of our art to local businesses and eventually open our own physical art boutique. As a much more ethical goal we intend to impact the younger population. We believe that our youngsters are far more than just our future. They are constantly learning and they are doing a much better job than we are at learning better ways to take care of our world. The young population values art and we intend to become a beacon of light that inspires them. It is our job to provide them the tools for their success and to leave a lasting impression in generations to come. We hope to plant seeds that grow trees, to provide shade that we may never sit under in our lifetime.
